On August 13 I kayaked down the Salt River in search of wild horses with Simone Netherlands, who heads the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group, and Fernanda Santos, lovely human and Phoenix Bureau Chief of the New York Times. It was an absolute dream come true. Here are some of the scenes I got to witness.
